Theatre performance “Sober”, directed by Butrint Pasha, which is based on Duncan MacMillan’s “People, Places and Things,” is a success story of a woman overcoming drug addiction, a worldwide phenomenon that continues to kill people and destroy families.

It is an exploration of addiction and identity. The play masterfully delves into the struggles of the protagonist, Emma, as she grapples with substance abuse and the complexities of rehabilitation. Duncan Macmillan’s writing skillfully navigates the blurred lines between reality and illusion, offering profound insights into the human condition.

“Sober” received notable recognition at the 53rd edition of the Festival of Theaters in Ferizaj, with Director Butrint Pasha receiving the Special Award, and Zhaneta Xhemajli honored with the “Upcoming Star” Award.
